            Ingredients for 4-5 Servings

    1 packagePuff pastry crust, thawed
- 
    8 ozCream cheese, softened
- 
    3/4 cupStrawberry jam
- 
    Red food coloring (optional)
- 
    Egg whites (optional)

Method
-             Preheat oven according to puff pastry instructions. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
-             Roll out puff pastry dough and cut out medium-sized heart shapes. Make a smaller heart shape in the center of each cut out. Set aside.
-             In a large mixing bowl, blend cream cheese, strawberry jam, and red food coloring. Some lumps are okay, but make sure the cream cheese is thoroughly broken up.
-             Fill the smaller heart in with the cream cheese filling. If desired, add an eggwash to the exposed edges of puff pastry.
-             Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Serve warm
